Franciscan Matric Project

The class of 2016 Franciscan Matric Project learners have once again proved that they have what it takes to pass matric.  An overall pass rate of 90% was achieved.  This is an excellent achievement for our learners bearing in mind that the majority have previously failed their matric and register at the school with very poor marks.  We are extremely proud of our learners and wish them the best of luck with their future endeavours.

Principal – Mrs Sally Nicol

Manager - Mrs Rose Webb

The Franciscan Matric Project began in January 1986 in response to the needs of students on the East Rand of Gauteng, who had either failed matric or were unable to write exams due to disruptions in their schools or communities. It was to offer Grade 12 students a second chance to complete their secondary school education. The Franciscan Matric Project has since then grown to include Grade 10 and 11 learners. The pass rate for 2016 was 90.%.
