Pre-Apprenticeship in Diesel Mechanics

Candidates will receive a St. Anthony’s Certificate on successful completion of the course.


At completion, the learners will be able to:

Communicate and solve basic problems in an automotive workshop

Solve basic mathematics calculations

Have basic computer skills

Co-ordinate work activities

Employment Opportunities

You will be marketable as an apprentice diesel mechanic.

Course content:

The course content is 80% practical training and 20% theory.

Safety/hand tools/workshop tools and housekeeping

Seals and gaskets/bearings/hoses and tubing

Basic engine & transmissions

Basic electrical & electronic control systems

Hydraulics & lubrication

Grade 12/Equivalent
50% Maths & Science
Must be 18-25 yrs
